Wow, what a store. There’s no other like it anywhere in the country . They have all kinds of adult goodies, spirits beer and wine any kind you want from anywhere in the world Cigars what a great selection wine cellar no other like it in the state of Michigan, it is the nicest wine cellar I’ve ever seen in the state. The help is outstanding they answered every question I had about homebrew they showed me the wine cellar they worked with me,I felt like I was part of the family . I really like their beer cellar they had beer that was Aged from 10 years back. I can’t say enough good things about the store the customer is king, the help is outstanding the selection unlike any in the state. The one thing they don’t have is fast food but it is one beautiful and well stocked adult store. ~ Richard G

Mark at Wine Barrel in Livonia goes above and beyond what anyone expects. I was having a house warming party and bought my first keg, I had called around to 5 different stores asking for a keg of Erdinger, German beer, not very easy to find. None of the other stores could get it, and two never even heard of it. So I called Wine Barrel, to my amazement Mark said they could have it in two days and even mentioned that I'd need a special coupler. He then gave me his cell phone number and texted through the day to me know exactly when the truck would arrive. Once I picked it up, his team showed me how to set everything up and even had the special coupler I needed. The party was a great success and would have never happened without these guys. Don't waste your time anywhere else, GO SEE MARK!! ~ Greg W

This is an amazing place to get the best craft beer at a great price. They have a huge selection of singles that you can make your own six pack with if you want to mix and match. Although I do not do any home brewing myself, they have a really nice section of the store that is set up for that. I feel lucky that I am so close to this place, although it may start becoming a problem because I go there so much. The truly best part of the store is the staff. Incredibly friendly and helpful in finding the hard to get items. The cellar there has stuff in it that I have not seen anywhere else. Overall this is an excellent store for craft beer, not to mention a great selection of wine and liquor as well. I will definitely return here often. ~ Tim D

This is the best beer store in this area, hands down. Mark is the schnizz and he will take great care of you, especially when you are obviously very passionate about your beer. Incredible singles selection and all the bombers when they come out. Selection continues to grow as beer culture around us expands. Every style, including barrel-aged stuff and sours (ugh). Tons of liquor, too, although I've been drinking so much beer from them I haven't bought a good tequila in a year. Never got a keg from here but plan on it and have heard the service and selection is second to none. Finally, I've found that overall they are cheaper than the place over the freeway and I like the selection better. ~ Jeff S

This is not a "liquor store". This is an "educational place". Want to learn how to become a brewmeister? This is the place. Learn about "cigars", they have a walk-in humidor. Wine? To me, better than a somalier. Need the tools, the schooling, or the suggestions? This is the place. Most liquor stores mostly sell malt liquor, cheap wines and lotto tickets. This place shows you how to make good wines, how to brew your own signature beer, and some fine cigars to go with your success. Oh, and they do sell lotto tickets (and chicken bourbon jerky, too!) ~ Jay B

Talk about a great place to find that rare or hard to find beer, as soon as you walk in you are greeted with a couple of long aisles of beer singles! They also sell everything you need to make beer (or wine)...I've bought quite a bit of their homebrew offerings (hops/yeast/grain/co2, etc..). Super convenient and helpful, the owner will even give you his cell number so you can text questions or make special requests! Buy enough rare beer (you get a punchcard) and you gain access to their "secret" cellar that has even more rare finds. They have wine and liquor too. Keep up the good work! ~ Mark J

I love this store! Their wine selection is amazing, and they sell all the liquor and beer that a normal liquor store sells, plus more. The staff is so helpful and personable, especially Rose ❣️she's awesome in always making sure I find what I'm looking for. She even made sure to put in an order for a wine I was looking for. The parking lot is big and the location is perfect. The other customers are friendly, polite, and genuinely cool people which I think speaks volumes about any store. Oh yeah, and their prices are great! I'm glad I found this place! ~ J C

I’m starting to brew my own mead and wine. I went in wondering what a good store bought mead would be to compare to the one I made myself. Mark was the coolest guy ever. Not only did he give me some suggestions, but he also gave me some tips on brewing my own drinks. The store itself is well organized and clearly marked price wise. They have large selections of beer, wine, and many other drinks. They also have quite the selection of home brewing equipment. Would definitely recommend this store to any homebrewer or anyone looking for a drink! ~ Zackary S

My favorite liquor store around! After building a kegerator I wanted to find a place that would fill CO2 tanks and have a good selection of kegs. They do both! And as far as kegs go, it's not just a few domestic beers like most liquor stores have. They have domestic beers, craft beers, and ciders in 1/6, 1/4, and 1/2 barrels. Not to mention all the other things they have excellent selections of such as wines, liquor, cigars, brewing supplies, and bottled craft beer. ~ Christopher B

I live in Plymouth and drive 15 min and past a dozen other places to come here. I first found it years ago because they carried my favorite Kolsch beer from Cologne - brewed at the exact bar I used to go to. I have a 2 tap kegerator and I never buy kegs anywhere else. Want a sixtel keg of Three Floyds Zombie Dust only a few months after they started selling in Michigan? Yep, they have it. Great prices and the service and support is the best. ~ Jim B

Mark and Rich were friendly and the standard of professionalism. Visited for the first time and they were very accommodating. I came in looking for some great bourbons and to get my kegerator fixed and they had all new parts (hosing, seals, new tanks) and more draft selection than I have seen before. Honestly these guys were awesome. You could talk to them for days. ~ Tim R

I just found Wine Barrel Plus and I love it already. I wish I lived nearby! I don't but live close but when I found that they had a wine that I was after in their cellar they shipped it right out long with some homebrewing supplies I needed. Great folks with good prices and an amazing selection. They clearly take good care of the items in their cellar too, which is reassuring. I'll be back! ~ Paul 保

This place has A LOT - along with super helpful, knowledgeable folks to help with whatever. I went for beer making supplies, but I couldn't get past all of the great cigars, wines and every type of liquor you could ever want. Prices were great, and safety protocols were in place without feeling restrictive. A++! ~ Debra W

Excellent selection of craft beer! Buying a 6-pack or case, single bottles, and create your own 6-pack all available. The Wine Barrell also has a rewards program that allows you to purchase from their Beer Cellar, which features tons of limited edition brews. The selection is AMAZING! I come all the way from Ohio mainly to get La Gritona (a very good tequila) lol and they seem to be the only place that has it! Also if you enjoy sake or soju they have plenty different brands and flavors to choose from I even seen some Japanese whiskeys in there. 10/10 recommend ~ Lauren S

This store has a great selection of wine and liquor. Mark was also very helpful in giving suggestions and makes you feel like a regular customer even if it’s your first visit. I was looking for a 1994 vintage wine as a gift and his cellar is amazing. I had several options, we narrowed it down to one. He included instructions on decanting, etc. I went to several other "vintage wine shops" who didn't have anything close. It looks like a typical liquor store on the outside but ask for help. ~ Chris B

Large selection of liquor and craft beer! They have the best selection of rum I have ever seen! A great place to go when looking for hard to find rum bottles for making tiki drinks at home! The owner is very kind and will keep rare things in stock if you ask. Prices are very fair as well, I love this place! ~ Nala P

Definitely a must stop place in Livonia for craft beer. I get in here multiple times a week, even if I'm not planning on buying anything. They always have something new or unusual to pickup and try. And their selection is huge. Something for everyone! ~ Pete S

Wow. How did I not find this place before? This place is a treasure trove of limited/allocated whiskys and bourbons and they have a cellar of rare craft beers. I really like the concept of their loyalty membership program. Can't stay long because I'll send way too much ~ Vince C
